We are created to lead from the deposit God’s placed in our heart. When we flow out of the burden He’s given us, our lives and leadership will be marked by a passion that is obvious to others.
We’ve been told, “You can’t get too close to the people you lead.” In stark contrast, Jesus Christ lived with His disciples for three years and gave us a model for servant leadership built on a FOUNDATION of relationship.
Our relationship with God is the conduit He uses to download His will into our heart. His purpose becomes our dream. The vision God has given each of us becomes the bulls eye for those we’re called to lead.
Do we lead to get, or does our leadership begin with a desire to GIVE – first to God, & second to others. As we give, the people around us develop and prosper. We help others to depend less on us, while they grow in their personal relationship with God.
